Travel experience required
Nights, 7p-7:30a, 36 hours, Every other weekend and every other holiday. 2024/2025 Flu vaccine required prior to start
MA RN License & BLS (ARC or AHA) Required
Telemetry & Meditech experience required 3 years prior MS/Tele experience required
Tele test given on first day of orientation
Floating possible to similar units
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care in medical-surgical and telemetry units, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of nursing interventions.
Monitor vital signs, interpret telemetry data, and respond promptly to cardiac rhythm changes or emergent situations.
Administer medications and treatments accurately, including IV infusions, injections, and medication management per physician orders.
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and update individualized care plans.
Document patient information thoroughly using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Assist with diagnostic evaluations like laboratory testing, specimen collection/processing, and imaging procedures such as sonography or radiology when necessary.
Educate patients and families on health management strategies including discharge planning, wound care (suturing), and medication administration.
Maintain aseptic techniques during procedures such as catheterization or sterile dressing changes while adhering to infection control standards.
