Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab

Shift & Schedule:

Day Shift: 07:00 AM – 03:30 PM

On-Call Requirement:

Every 3rd weekend

Minimum of 16 on-call shifts within a 6-week period

OR/IR coverage required

Job Summary :

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiac Cath Lab / IR provides direct, high-quality nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization. This role requires close collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, safe, and effective patient care across Cath Lab, IR, and OR coverage areas.

Key Responsibilities :

Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and protocols

Implement, monitor, and evaluate patient care plans

Monitor, document, and communicate patient condition and clinical changes

Coordinate care across all disciplines to ensure seamless patient care

Execute and document physician and nursing orders accurately

Support pre-, intra-, and post-procedural patient care

Collaborate on patient discharge planning with the healthcare team

Participate in required on-call and weekend coverage

Requirements & Qualifications :

Licensure / Certification

Active Illinois RN license (IDFPR)

BLS Provider certification (AHA or American Red Cross accepted)

Education & Experience

Required professional licensure/certification

Minimum 1–2 years of relevant nursing experience

Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Interventional Radiology experience strongly preferred
