About the Role

Med-Call Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a skilled Radiology Technician for an immediate opportunity at a federal facility in Ochopee, Florida. This role offers competitive pay, flexible scheduling, and potential for long-term placement based on performance. This is a contract to hire position.

Job Summary

The Radiology Technician performs diagnostic imaging procedures (primarily X-rays) in accordance with physician orders and established clinical protocols. This role ensures patient safety, proper positioning, and high-quality imaging to support accurate diagnosis and treatment.

Key Responsibilities

Perform diagnostic imaging procedures per physician orders and protocols.
Accurately position patients to obtain high-quality images.
Operate and maintain imaging equipment safely and effectively.
Ensure compliance with radiation safety and protection standards.
Verify patient identity and clearly explain procedures.
Review images for clarity and accuracy before submission.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare staff.
Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
Follow all regulatory, safety, and infection control guidelines
Perform other duties as assigned, consistent with the role.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree (preferred)
Minimum 2+ years of experience in diagnostic imaging (preferred)
Active ARRT certification (required)
Active Florida Radiologic Technologist license (required)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Knowledge of medical terminology
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings/weekends as needed
Valid driver’s license (required)
Must pass Level 2 background screening
