RN – LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum)
📌 Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) with 2+ years of LDRP experience to provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns throughout labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum stages. The RN will support safe childbirth experiences and ensure high-quality maternal and neonatal care.
🩺 Key Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care across Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) units
Monitor maternal vital signs, fetal heart rates, and labor progression
Assist physicians and midwives during vaginal and cesarean deliveries
Administer medications, IV therapy, and pain management during labor
Provide immediate newborn care including Apgar scoring and stabilization
Educate mothers on postpartum care, breastfeeding, and newborn care
Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
Respond to obstetric emergencies (e.g., hemorrhage, fetal distress)
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including OB-GYNs, neonatologists, and anesthesiologists Required Qualifications
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific, e.g., California BRN)
Minimum 2+ years of recent LDRP / Labor & Delivery experience
BLS certification required
ACLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) preferred or required
Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
Required Skills
Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
Ability to manage high-stress obstetric emergencies
Excellent communication and patient education skills
Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Compassionate and family-centered care approach
active state RN license
