North Alabama Medical Center boasts state-of-the-art facilities, including 15 surgical suites, 6 Endoscopy Rooms, 6 private Pre-Admission Testing rooms, and 30 same-day surgery rooms. The surgical team is composed of highly trained professionals, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, surgical technologists, and certified nurse anesthetists, ensuring a collaborative and supportive work environment. As a Med-Surg RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, managing patient assessments, administering medications, and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans. You will also be involved in patient education and discharge planning to ensure a smooth transition from hospital to home. A typical day in the Med-Surg unit involves caring for a diverse patient population with various medical and surgical conditions. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to monitor patient progress, perform routine procedures, and respond to any changes in patient status.
