REQUIREMENTS:

* RN graduate with current Colorado licensure
* Must have current CPR certification
* Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and ACLS within one year of employment
* 7+ years of experience

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care within the scope of their practice.
* The position is one of providing direct patient care to women in labor, through delivery, postpartum, and to provide direct care to the newborn.
* Assuring all aspects of maternal childcare.
* Performing assessments, monitoring process of labor, preparing for C-sections, inductions, and proper documentation of nursing care.
* Administer care during labor, post-delivery, and postpartum including infant care and providing patient education.
* Prepares delivery room, provides emotional support, and coordinates transfers.
* Administer IV medications, adhere to principles of infection control and general policies of OB department.
