Flexible Shifts Available in NICU at Saint Paul Hospital!

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – NICU to provide specialized, evidence-based care to premature, critically ill, and high-risk newborns in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU).

Responsibilities include:
Provide continuous monitoring and specialized nursing care to newborns
Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as ordered
Monitor vital signs, respiratory status, and developmental needs
Assist with ventilators, respiratory support, and specialized procedures
Recognize and respond promptly to changes in the infant’s condition
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and care plans
Educate and support parents and families
Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, and the multidisciplinary care team

Setting/Facility Type: Children’s Hospital – Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), providing specialized care for premature, critically ill, and high-risk newborns.

Active Minnesota RN license or compact RN license eligible to practice in Minnesota
BLS certification required
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required/preferred
Previous NICU experience preferred
Strong knowledge of neonatal assessment and critical care
Experience with ventilators, IV therapy, medication administration, and neonatal monitoring preferred
Ability to respond quickly to changes in critically ill newborns
Strong communication, teamwork, and family-support skills
Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
Must meet all Children’s Minnesota credentialing, orientation, and compliance requirements.
