Registered Nurse (RN) – Telemetry (Day Shift)

Location: Chino, CA
Schedule: AM/Day Shift | Schedule based on departmental needs

Position Summary

The Registered Nurse (RN) on the Telemetry unit provides safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. This role is responsible for continuous cardiac monitoring, timely response to changes in patient condition, and effective collaboration with physicians and interdisciplinary teams. The RN also plays a key role in patient and family education, support of assistive staff, and maintaining compliance with clinical and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Provide direct patient care to Telemetry patients and continuously monitor cardiac rhythms.

Perform assessments, reassessments, and accurately document findings in the EMR.

Communicate promptly with physicians regarding changes in patient condition, cardiac monitoring results, and diagnostic findings.

Administer medications, treatments, and nursing interventions safely and accurately.

Respond promptly to emergent situations and changes in patient status.

Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, procedures, and discharge instructions.

Support, guide, and oversee nursing personnel and assistive staff within the unit.

Ensure adherence to infection control practices, safety protocols, and patient privacy standards.

Document all care provided and patient responses in EPIC EMR.

Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Perform other duties appropriate to the RN scope of practice as assigned.

Qualifications

Current California RN License.

Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA).

Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry or acute-care RN experience required.

EPIC EMR experience required.

Ventilator management experience preferred.
