RN - Early Intervention / Pediatrics

Adelphi is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide early intervention support services for Monroe County Department of Public Health in Rochester, New York. The ideal candidate will provide developmental monitoring and healthcare provider education by performing parent outreach, developmental tracking, and referral education through community-based and office-based engagement. This role supports early childhood intervention efforts by ensuring timely developmental monitoring, accurate documentation, and increased awareness of Early Intervention services among healthcare providers.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered School of Nursing

• Possession of a New York State License as a Registered Nurse

• Strong communication skills and public speaking (small group presentation)

• Experience or coursework in pediatrics or early childhood

WORK REQUIREMENTS:

• Provide Registered Nurse services for up to 30 hours per week

• Oversee the Developmental Monitoring Program

• Provide healthcare provider education on Early Intervention and Developmental Monitoring Programs

• Contact parents of referred children

• Explain the program and send periodic Ages and Stages questionnaires and activities

• Document communications and track monitoring efforts

• Call or visit offices to educate providers about Early Intervention programs and appropriate referrals
