Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours

Pay Details:

For Local Candidates pay rate: $56.50 to $60 /hr (If your permanent address is within 50 miles from the facility)

For Travelers/Stipend Candidates (If your permanent address is outside the 50 mile radius from the facility):
Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $66
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate: $2,640
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $14.00
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable): $560
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $2,080


For Traveler 1099 Candidates:
Pay Rate on 1099 to the Candidate: $69.00
Weekly 1099 Traveler Pay Rate: $2,260


Job Summary:

Provide high-quality patient care in a Med-Surg unit by assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, administering treatments, and collaborating with interdisciplinary healthcare teams. Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care while ensuring effective communication, leadership, and clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, monitor, and evaluate patient conditions and care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to provide quality patient care
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and communication using SBAR
• Serve as a clinical resource and support team productivity
• Demonstrate strong time management and leadership skills
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and patient safety standards

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of recent straight Med-Surg RN experience required
• Level I or Level II Trauma experience required
• Travel experience preferred
• Current Michigan RN License required
• Current BLS certification through AHA required
• Strong clinical, communication, and teamwork skills
