Description: The PICU/CICU is a 18-bed blended intensive care unit providing care to patients and their families 24-hours a day and 7 days a week. The PICU/CICU provides immediate and continuous care for critically ill medical/surgical patients, level 2 trauma, and patients following repair of their congenital heart defects and other complications related to congenital heart disease. This unit accepts patients from newborn to adulthood. PICU/CICU also cares for pediatric patients with multi organ failure providing extracorporeal membrane oxygenation support.
