JOB REQUIREMENTS

* Licenses: Active AZ license

* Board: BC/BE in Physician Assistant

* DEA: Required

* Certifications: BLS, ACLS (AHA)

* Experience: Minimum 3 years in cardiothoracic surgery with EVH

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Manage cardiothoracic surgical patients in CVICU and step-down units.

* Perform daily assessments, rounds, and order management for post-operative CT surgery patients.

* Provide surgical first assist in cardiothoracic surgeries, including opening and closing.

* Perform bedside procedures: temporary pacemaker, chest tube, IABP removal, and arterial line placement.

* Participate in weeknight beeper call coverage from 3:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
