Registered Nurse (RN) – Med Surg/Tele | Olathe, KS

Location: Olathe, KS
Duration: 13 Weeks + Possible Extension
Shift: 3x12-Hour Shifts (Days or Nights)
Compensation: $19.4/hr (W2) + $1,500/week Stipend = $2,200/week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry team in Olathe, Kansas. This contract offers a supportive environment where you can provide high-quality, patient-centered care across a diverse range of medical and surgical cases.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe, compassionate, and efficient nursing care to adult Med/Surg/Tele patients.
Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and responses to treatment.
Administer medications, manage Heparin drips, TPN, and PCAs.
Accurately measure and interpret telemetry rhythms.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
Manage pre- and post-operative care for General Surgery, Bariatric, Gynecological, Urology, and Orthopedic patients.
Treat patients with medical diagnoses such as cellulitis, back pain, and kidney stones.

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience in a hospital setting – Required
Experience in General Surgery, Bariatric, Gynecological, Urology, and Orthopedics – Required
Experience managing Heparin Drips, TPN, PCAs, and interpreting Telemetry rhythms – Required

License & Certification Requirements

Active KS RN License or Compact RN License – Required
BLS and ACLS Certifications – Required
