All Girls Summer Camp RN Position on Beautiful Lake!

Job Overview:
We are seeking enthusiastic and responsible female individuals to join our team as Camp Nurse. Camp Wa-Klo is an all girls, residential summer camp located in southern New Hampshire. As a Camp Nurse, you will play a vital role in creating a safe environment for our campers and staff.
Duties:
Ensure each staff member and camper has a clear and accurate health record on file including a health history and examination form, as required. Discuss with staff any pertinent camper health information, and make recommendations for the following summer season as needed.
Ability to keep neat and orderly records of all care rendered, including injuries, over the counter medicine, first aid, communication with parents or licensed independent providers from off camp facilities.
Take initiative, be self-sufficient and have the ability to recognize when a higher level of care is necessary and be able to provide stabilizing care until a higher level is reached. Keep staff and parents up to date on current information and status.
Maintain the confidentiality of campers and staffs with regards to health history
Provide emotional support, an open and safe place for staff and campers to go to when necessary to discuss various physical and emotional needs. This includes but is not limited to some good old-fashioned TLC when homesickness kicks in.
Be on-site for check-in of staff and campers to provide baseline health screening, head check, review health histories and other medical forms.
Establish and maintain open lines of communication for staff and leadership regarding the health and well-being of campers and staff.
Make appointments, when necessary, with medical/dental/specialty offices in the local community and follow up as needed.
Keep accident/incident reports that can be used for risk-management assessment.
Be a medical resource that would bridge the gap between basic medical knowledge and calling 911.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Maintain an active nursing license in the State of New Hampshire and/or compact license with up to date BLS/CPR certification. Additional certifications preferred. Be able to provide such documentation.
Experience in emergency, trauma or pediatric/school nursing preferred.
