REQUIREMENTS:

* Valid and active Nursing Assistant Certificate (CNA) issued by the State of California
* At least 12 consecutive months of performing similar services within the last 3 years
* BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (with AED)
* Must be proficient in the English Language (Speaking/Writing)

Responsiblities:

Under the direction of the CEO/CNE or designee, the CNA will provide services within the CNA scope, following the facilities' policies and procedures. Duties include, but are not limited to:

* Assisting patients with daily living and providing nursing care.
* Performing and documenting rounds of patients receiving medical or psychiatric care.
* Reporting changes in patients' conditions to the Registered Nurse (RN).
* Obtaining specimens for diagnostic testing.
* Assisting other non-custody staff in providing patient care.
* Preparing documentation for patient transfers to other facilities or special appointments.
* Completing required documentation of patient care.
* Cleaning, maintaining, and checking equipment.
* Managing inventory, ordering, and checking supplies.
