Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical - Travel - (MS RN)
StartDate: 7/27/2026 Available Shifts: 7.5 D Pay Rate: $2251.00 - $2391.00

This outpatient clinic RN position is based in a busy internal medicine practice within the historic Vanderbilt Clinic in northern Manhattan. The location offers convenient access to public transportation, neighborhood parks, local cafes, and a wide variety of cultural attractions, providing all the benefits of working in a vibrant New York City neighborhood with an active community feel. The clinic is part of a respected, academically affiliated network that emphasizes evidence-based care, interdisciplinary collaboration, and continuous learning. RNs work closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, and support staff to deliver high-quality outpatient care to a diverse adult patient population. In this role, the RN manages a steady flow of patients for acute visits, chronic disease follow-up, and preventive care. Typical duties include assessments, vital signs, medication reconciliation, patient education, telephone and electronic triage, coordination of follow-up appointments and referrals, and participation in in-office procedures as needed. The RN helps care for patients with conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and respiratory disorders, with a strong emphasis on chronic disease management and patient self-care support. The clinic uses modern electronic medical records and standardized protocols to support safe, efficient workflows and consistent documentation. Nurses may contribute to quality improvement initiatives and population health efforts that enhance patient outcomes and experience. Shifts are primarily weekday, daytime hours aligned with outpatient operations, offering a predictable schedule while maintaining a dynamic, fast-paced clinical environment. This position is ideal for RNs seeking to grow their ambulatory internal medicine expertise in a well-organized practice setting within one of New York City’s most engaging areas.
