Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Instrument Technician specializing in Sterile Processing for a 13-week travel contract in Canton, Georgia. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of surgical instrument reprocessing, sterilization procedures, and infection prevention practices to support safe and efficient surgical operations.

The selected candidate will be responsible for cleaning, inspecting, preparing, assembling, and reprocessing surgical instruments in accordance with established protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities
Clean, disinfect, inspect, and reprocess surgical instruments and medical equipment.
Prepare and assemble instrument trays and sets according to established procedures.
Follow infection control, sterilization, and safety guidelines.
Ensure instruments are properly processed and ready for surgical use.
Maintain accurate records and documentation of sterilization processes.
Identify damaged or improperly functioning instruments and report issues.
Maintain a clean and organized sterile processing work area.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in Sterile Processing or a related specialty.
Previous travel assignment experience required.
HSPA certification preferred.
Knowledge of surgical instrument reprocessing procedures required.
Strong understanding of infection control and sterilization standards.
Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Must be willing to work the assigned night shift schedule.
Must be available to complete all compliance requirements before the start date.
