We are looking for candidates with at least one year of experience, particularly those with a strong background in orthopedic surgery and Da Vinci robotic systems. As a surgical tech, your day will include a mix of on-call duties, weekend shifts, and holiday coverage, with a typical schedule running from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM. Your responsibilities will involve scrubbing in for surgeries, ensuring the surgical instruments are sterile and functioning, and collaborating closely with the nursing staff to support patient care. Completion of a Certified Surgical Tech program preferred or current New York State LPN license eligible
Knowledge in the use of cleaning/sterilization/disinfections of equipment and instrumentation utilized in the clinical operating room setting.
BLS required.
Qualified candidate will function under the direct supervision of an RN and assist in Nursing care and preparation of the surgical patient by performing routine & delegated duties according to the standards and policies of the hospital and department.
Candidate will perform technical duties relating to scrub personnel, including precise & efficient reaction to all situations & assist with departmental work as assigned.
Surgical techs have a vital role in creating and maintaining a sterile surgical room and ensure that surgical equipment is functioning properly & safely as well as assisting surgeons during surgical procedures.
Must arrive within 1/2 hour of getting called in
