Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) – Nursing Home (Illinois)

As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at our nursing home, you will provide compassionate resident care and assist with activities of daily living under the direction of licensed nursing staff. Your duties help ensure the health, safety, comfort, and dignity of our long-term care residents.

Key Responsibilities
* Resident Care & Daily Living Assistance
* Assist residents with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene.
* Help residents transfer, reposition, walk, and move safely.
* Provide personal care such as oral/dental care, hair care, and nail care.
* Serve meals and assist with feeding as needed.
* Observe and record vital signs, weight, intake/output, and other resident data.
* Monitor resident behavior, physical changes, and report concerns to nurses.
* Follow infection control procedures and maintain a safe, clean environment.
* Participate in care planning and team meetings as required.
* Complete accurate and timely documentation of resident care.
* Communicate with interdisciplinary staff, residents, and families professionally.
* Report incidents, accidents, and safety concerns according to policy.
* Help maintain resident rooms and common areas neat and orderly.

Active Illinois Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification/registry required.
CPR/BLS certification preferred.
Strong communication skills and ability to work with diverse residents.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain confidentiality.
Compassion, patience, and a team-oriented attitude.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, lifting, and assisting residents with mobility.
Must be able to lift/move residents safely using proper techniques and equipment.
