Locations: Pikeville, KY 41501
Duration: 8 Weeks + Extension

Shift Timings: 7:00PM to 7:00 AM

Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Surgical Nursing/Orthopedic Staff RN to provide high-quality nursing care to surgical and orthopedic patients. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care while collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective outcomes.

Responsibilities:
Provide direct nursing care to surgical and orthopedic patients.
Perform patient assessments, develop care plans, and monitor patient progress.
Assist with pre-operative and post-operative patient care.
Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and facility protocols.
Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions.
Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and healthcare team members to coordinate care.
Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records (EMR).
Follow infection control, safety, and compliance standards.

Requirements:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Minimum experience in surgical nursing and/or orthopedic care preferred.
BLS certification required (ACLS preferred if applicable).
Strong clinical, communication, and critical-thinking skills.
Ability to provide compassionate patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
