REQUIREMENTS:

* 2+ years of experience
* Previous experience in Operating Room and Recovery Room nursing preferred.
* Current Washington State or MultiState RN license required.
* Current American Heart Association BLS/CPR certification card on hire.
* ACLS & PALS required.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families; supervising assigned team members.
* Nursing care is rendered to all patients in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, hospital, Nursing Department and regulatory standards.
* Responsible for care of patients in the operating room.
* Provides for patient care as a circulating and/or scrub nurse and teacher to ensure safe and therapeutically effective nursing care.
* Maintains the work area.
* Participates in 24-hour call coverage.
* Uses skills in nursing assessment to include recognizing post-anesthesia and post-operative complications.
