Travel-Interventional Radiology / Angiography Technologist

Description

Schedule: 4x10 Days, Monday–Friday, typically 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM with on-call rotation (weekdays and weekends). Every third weekend required (5–6 weekends total during contract). On-call averages approximately 8 days per month including one weekend per month with 30-minute response time. 40 hours per week guaranteed.

Highlights:
Work in a state-of-the-art interventional vascular radiology suite at a Level IV Trauma Center and major teaching hospital
Diverse case mix including peripheral angiography/venography with intervention, EVAR, TEVAR, carotid stenting, neuro-intervention including acute stroke, and embolization
Average daily census of 7–10 procedures across 3 procedure rooms
Work with advanced equipment including Siemens fluoroscopy and ultrasound technology
Charting via Cerner EMR with PACS integration
Open to accommodating reasonable blocked schedule requests to be discussed at interview

Requirements

ARRT certification required; Vascular Intervention (VI) certification strongly preferred
West Virginia State Radiologic Technologist License (may submit with pending, but must be active prior to start)
BLS certification required (must be American Heart Association)
Minimum 1 year of experience in Interventional Radiology required; previous charge experience required
Proficiency with fluoroscopy equipment, PACS systems, and vascular closure devices (Perclose, StarClose)
Strong skills in sterile technique, equipment setup, EKG lead placement, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
Experience with procedures including angioplasty, stent placement, embolization, EVAR/TEVAR, and endovascular interventions
First-time travelers accepted; must reside 100+ miles from facility
Flu vaccine required during flu season (October 1 – March 31) unless medical exemption documented
