Travel RN Medical ICU assignments in Baltimore, MD place you at Johns Hopkins Hospital, a 1,114-bed academic medical center and designated Level I trauma center. The hospital is nationally recognized for its advanced specialty care and commitment to patient- and family-centered care. High acuity MICU patient population with complex medical diagnoses: end stage renal & hepatic disease, multisystem organ failure, newly diagnosed or existing autoimmune & pulmonary disorders, the critically ill antepartum/ postpartum patient, the critically ill oncology patient, MSOF, ARDS, ESLD, ESRD, DIC, Sepsis, IVDU, HIV, CHF, lung transplant Baltimore offers a vibrant waterfront, historic neighborhoods, and a thriving arts scene. Washington, DC is located about an hour’s drive from Baltimore, providing additional cultural and entertainment options. To qualify, you need current RN licensure and recent experience in a medical intensive care unit (MICU). Recommended skills include strong critical care assessment, adaptability, and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR). This unit cares for a high acuity patient population with complex medical diagnoses. Our common diagnoses include, but are not limited to: end stage renal & hepatic disease, multisystem organ failure, newly diagnosed or existing autoimmune & pulmonary disorders, the critically ill antepartum/ postpartum patient, the critically ill oncology patient.
