Position: Registered Nurse – Medical/Surgical Step-Down
Location: Rome, New York
Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | 3x12s | 36 Hours/Week
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks

We are seeking an experienced Medical/Surgical Step-Down Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in New York. This opportunity is ideal for RNs with strong step-down and telemetry experience who are comfortable caring for adult and geriatric patient populations in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Job Responsibilities:

* Provide direct patient care to adult and geriatric medical/surgical step-down patients
* Monitor cardiac telemetry and identify changes in patient condition
* Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
* Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document care accurately
* Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
* Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans and discharge care
* Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations

Requirements:

* 1–2 years of Step-Down/Telemetry RN experience required
* Active RN License required
* BLS certification required
* ACLS certification required
* NIHSS certification required
* Experience with Paragon and Pyxis preferred

Assignment Details:

* Patient Ratio: 6:1
* Patient Population: Adult/Geriatric
* Weekly Gross Pay (W2): Up to $2,592
* Weekly Taxable Pay: $1,350
* Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,242
* 1099 Weekly Pay: Up to $2,700
* 1099 Hourly Rate: $75/hr
