Job Summary:
The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed care givers who ensure that patients, families and significant others receive individualized high quality, safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment that is administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders and is supported through the Shared Governance Model. The framework for practice is steered by the Professional Practice Model and evidence-based practice and research. RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by the Values.It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses are licensed, knowledgeable and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the Georgia Professional Nurse Practice Act and implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics Standards put forth by the American Nurses Association. As a member of the patient services team, it is expected that the individual upholds the voice of the patient, system policies and procedures while supporting service excellence goals.

3. Team Synergy and Communication
Healthcare is a team sport. Seamless communication (like bedside shifts and interdisciplinary rounds) prevents information gaps that could lead to safety "misses" and ensures the entire hospital system runs efficiently.
4. Professional Growth and Mentorship
By acting as a mentor and staying current with education, you protect the future of the workforce. This ensures that the high standard of care remains consistent even as new staff join the team.
5. Accountability and Resource Management
Upholding regulatory standards (like TJC Safety Goals) protects the organization legally and ethically. Furthermore, being fiscally responsible with resources ensures the hospital can continue to provide care sustainably.

Required Minimum Education:
Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
Required Minimum License(s) and Certification(s):
All certifications are required upon hire unless otherwise stated.
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor or ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
Additional License(s) and Certification(s):
Required Minimum Experience:
Less than 1 year Direct patient nursing care experience Preferred
