Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and certified Sterile Processing Technician (SPT) with at least 3+ years of recent experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in surgical instrument sterilization and decontamination, along with hands-on experience operating advanced equipment such as Scope Buddy, Flexible Scopes, Medivator, VPRO, and Steam Sterilizers.

This role is open to both travel and local candidates, offering a great opportunity to work in a professional, fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Clean, inspect, assemble, package, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment in accordance with established procedures and infection control standards.

Operate and maintain sterilization systems including Medivator, VPRO, Scope Buddy, and steam sterilizers.

Handle flexible and rigid endoscopes, ensuring proper processing and storage.

Maintain accurate records of sterilization loads and quality control tests.

Collaborate with the surgical and nursing teams to ensure timely instrument availability.

Adhere strictly to all regulatory and safety standards (Joint Commission, OSHA, AAMI, etc.).

Local: $28/hour

Traveler: $15/hour W2 + $800/week stipend ($1,400 weekly total)

Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician.

Must have completed at least one travel contract within the last 12 months.

Certifications (required):

CBSPD

HSPA (IAHCSMM)

Proficiency with: Scope Buddy, Flexible Scopes, Medivator, VPRO, Steam Sterilizers.

Strong attention to detail and ability to perform effectively under pressure.
