A leading acute care medical center in Augusta, Georgia is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a Labor & Delivery assignment. The RN will work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary healthcare team to provide safe, patient-centered, evidence-based care for obstetric patients and newborns in a fast-paced clinical environment.

The ideal candidate is compassionate, clinically strong, and experienced in Labor & Delivery nursing, with the ability to respond effectively in high-acuity situations while maintaining excellent communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive nursing care to Labor & Delivery patients using the nursing process
Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
Support vaginal and cesarean deliveries as needed
Administer medications and treatments per physician orders
Educate patients and families regarding labor, postpartum care, and newborn care
Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Collaborate with physicians, midwives, neonatal teams, and interdisciplinary staff
Respond appropriately during obstetric emergencies
Uphold patient safety, infection control, and hospital standards

Requirements
Active RN License (Compact License accepted)
BLS Certification
ACLS Certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe)
NRP Certification (or ability to obtain within required timeframe)
Associate Degree in Nursing required
BSN preferred
Previous Labor & Delivery experience preferred
Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
Preferred Skills
