Registered Nurse – Pediatric Intensive Care - PICU - Travel - (PICU RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 N Pay Rate: $2227.00 - $2364.00

? Unit Information: o Beds: 19-23 ? Census? Average patients/day 15-18 o Minimum Years of Experience required? 2 o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes ? Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: o Respiratory, Congenital Heart Disease, hematology/oncology, post-op, trauma ? Patient Ratios: o RN: 2:1 o LPN (if applicable): n/a o CNA: n/a ? Required License, National Certification, Certs (BLS, ACLS, etc.), or other position specific requirements such as Driver's License and/or Insurance: o Illinois Nursing License, BLS, PALS, NRP preferred ? Support within the Department: o CNA? Duties? ? CNA is required to help prepare patient rooms for admissions/discharges, high touch cleaning, and some patient care o Receptionist/HUC - Available o Charge nurse – 1 per dept. o Phlebotomy – available in house, used primarily on general floors o IV/VAT Team - Yes o Resource Nurse – pending staffing and acuity o RT 24/7 – Yes o Hospitalist 24/7 Yes o Intensivist 24/7 Yes o Telemetry monitoring/tech – when needed ? Technology/Equipment: o EMR: EPIC o IV Pump: Alaris o Med dispensing: Pyxis o Monitors: Med sonic o Unit specific equipment: PICU supplies ? Floating: If yes, where? o NICU, General Pediatrics ? Orientation (facility and unit): o NEO o 2 days departmental in PICU/PCICU ? Scheduling: o Weekend rotation: Every other o On call? If so, what is that schedule N/A o Holiday Expectations: Travelers will work 75% of holidays o RTO: Resource Team approval o Shift times: 1900 - 0700 o Schedule cycle: 6-week cycle ?
