Quality Patient Centered Services (QPCS)
Role Responsibilities
• Provide direct patient care to incarcerated individuals
• Supervise and guide LPNs and other healthcare staff
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and facility protocols
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies, provide first aid, and initiate emergency procedures as needed
• Accurately document patient care, assessments, interventions, and outcomes in EMR
• Ensure compliance with correctional health regulations and facility standards
• Promote a safe, respectful, and secure environment for patients and staff
• Foster effective communication among healthcare teams, correctional staff, and patients
Physical and Technical Requirements
• Ability to perform routine clinical and physical tasks, including lifting, assisting with patient mobility, and standing for extended periods
• Strong clinical assessment, communication, teamwork, and safety awareness skills
• Proficiency in EMR systems and relevant healthcare technology
Minimum Qualifications
• Current, unrestricted Pennsylvania RN license
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• Proficient with computers, Microsoft Office, and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
• Ability to provide verifiable education, training, and work history
Additional Requirements
• Flexibility to work overtime, holiday shifts, and various schedules as needed
• Willingness to complete ongoing training in correctional nursing practices
