Job Title: MS/Tele Float RN – Travel Assignment

Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Schedule: 36 Hours per Week
Shift: 12-Hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Requirements: Weekend, holiday, and on-call shifts may be required
Radius Rule: Candidates must reside outside a 100-mile radius

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced MS/Telemetry Float Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract. The RN will provide high-quality patient care and must be comfortable floating across multiple hospital units including Med/Surg, PCU, ICU, ED, and Pediatric units depending on staffing needs.

Responsibilities

Deliver safe and effective nursing care to patients across assigned units.

Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor clinical conditions.

Provide coronary care and telemetry monitoring when required.

Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.

Document all patient care accurately using the MEDITECH charting system.

Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure the best patient outcomes.

Recognize patient safety risks and implement appropriate safety measures.

Utilize proper patient-handling techniques, including lift equipment when required.

Maintain effective communication with patients, families, and staff.

Prioritize tasks and delegate responsibilities when needed.

May be required to assume Charge Nurse duties when assigned.

Requirements

Active New York RN License (Required)

Must have completed at least one successful travel assignment (first-time travelers will not be considered)

Coronary Care experience required

Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing

Previous hospital RN experience preferred

BLS and ACLS certifications required

Strong knowledge of nursing principles and patient care practices

Ability to work efficiently in high-stress clinical environments

Strong leadership, critical-thinking, and problem-solving skills

Excellent interpersonal, organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
