Job Overview
We are seeking a General Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel contract. This role supports a busy radiology department in an acute care setting, with opportunities to float between similar units and work on a block schedule if approved by management.
Responsibilities:
Perform general diagnostic ultrasound procedures (e.g., abdominal, OB/GYN, small parts, vascular studies, etc.) with accuracy and efficiency.
Operate ultrasound equipment, analyze images, and communicate preliminary findings to physicians.
Maintain accurate patient documentation using Epic EMR.
Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other team members to ensure high-quality patient care.
Adhere to department protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Education:
Graduate of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or equivalent.
Experience:
Years of experience: TBD (confirm with hiring manager).
Prior experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
License/Certifications:
ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) required or equivalent.
BLS Certification required.
Must have active California license at time of submission (no pending licenses accepted).
Skills:
Proficient in general ultrasound imaging.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
EPIC charting experience preferred.
ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) required or equivalent.
BLS Certification required.
Must have active California license
