School Nurse (LPN)

Adelphi is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide on-site nursing services for a School in Sarasota County, Florida.

The ideal candidate will work closely with school administration to provide services to students in accordance with established guidelines and standards of practice.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the State of Florida

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience (preferred)

• Minimum one (1) year of experience working with students in a school setting.

• Minimum one (1) year of experience working with students with multiple disabilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide direct nursing care under the supervision of an RN

• Administer medications and prescribed treatments

• Monitor students with chronic medical conditions

• Assist with daily health assessments and screenings

• Document nursing services and student health activities

• Respond to student illnesses and emergencies

• Support implementation of Individualized Healthcare Plans

• Communicate with school staff and parents regarding student health concerns

• Maintain confidentiality of student health information

• Perform additional duties as assigned
