Mixed acuity Progressive Care Unit specializing in Surgical Oncology with Med Surg patients
Patient population includes breast, thyroid, melanoma, hepatobiliary, colorectal, and reconstructive plastics cases
Staffing ratios goal of 1:4, may flex to 1:5; 36-bed unit with comprehensive interdisciplinary support
72 hours of orientation including one week of classroom training and on-unit preceptorship
Epic charting system; experience with chemotherapy, oncologic emergencies, drips, blood transfusions, and chest tube care
Strong focus on infection prevention protocols and patient safety measures

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience; at least 1 year of current specialty experience required
PCU/Progressive Care Unit experience required; surgical experience strongly preferred
Active RN license (Compact or Ohio state license in hand at time of submission)
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
ONS Chemotherapy certification preferred
Epic charting system experience required
Experience with cardiac telemetry, chest tubes, BiPAP/CPAP, tracheostomy care, and dysrhythmia management
Graduation from an ACEN or CCNE accredited nursing program
Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only)
2 professional references required, including at least one from a manager or formal leadership role
