Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and reliable Inpatient Pharmacy Technician for a 13-week travel assignment at Providence Health and Services. The ideal candidate will support pharmacy operations in a hospital environment, including medication preparation, inventory management, and automation system use. Must be comfortable working variable shifts and floating between like units.

Responsibilities:

Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications

Perform IV admixture preparation

Support drug inventory and automation systems

Maintain storage, labeling, and packaging standards

Ensure compliance with formulary product lists and NDC procedures

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care

Rotate stock, manage returns, and follow storage guidelines

Enter orders accurately using the required charting system

Key Requirements:

Must float between like units

Open to block scheduling at manager discretion

RTO must be submitted at time of application

Facility may call off one shift per two-week pay period

On-call NOT required

Weekend work may be required

Local candidates accepted

First-time travelers accepted

Qualifications
Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Pharmacy Technician certification preferred

Experience:
Minimum of 6 months of recent inpatient pharmacy experience required
Experience with automation systems and IV admixture preferred

License:
Active and valid Pharmacy Technician license required in the state of assignment
