Flexible PACU Nurse Shifts Available in Pineville!

We are seeking a competent PACU Nurse to provide routine and complex post-surgical care. In this role, you will practice independently, managing the recovery of patients following surgical procedures. You will be responsible for providing nursing care utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation) and managing clinical contingencies as they arise.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer medications and treatments via established protocols and monitor for effectiveness.

Address complex psychological, emotional, and social needs of patients and families.

Document patient history, symptoms, and care accurately in the clinical record.

Assess learning needs and provide post-operative education to patients and caregivers.

Delegate tasks and collaborate with the surgical team to ensure patient safety and department flow.

Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Experience: 1+ year of experience in a Perioperative or PACU setting preferred.

License: Current RN License (Louisiana or Compact state).

Certifications:

BLS: Required at time of hire (AHA or Red Cross).

ACLS & PALS (or ENPC): Required (Grace periods apply based on experience level).
