The RN Clinical Nurse is a proactive member of an interdisciplinary team of licensed and unlicensed caregivers who ensure that patients, families, and significant others receive individualized, high-quality, and safe patient care. They practice in a clinical environment administered by Nurse Managers and other leaders and supported through a shared governance model. The framework for practice is guided by a professional practice model, evidence-based practice, and research. RN competencies are derived from these models and supported by organizational values.
It is expected that all RN Clinical Nurses are licensed, knowledgeable, and uphold the practice of nursing as outlined by the applicable Professional Nurse Practice Act. The RN implements the Scope of Practice and Code of Ethics standards established by the American Nurses Association. As a member of the patient services team, the individual is expected to uphold the voice of the patient, follow system policies and procedures, and support service excellence goals.

BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Program or ARC-NALS - Amer Red Cross Neonatal Advanced Life Support or NRP-P - NRP-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days or NRP-I - NRP - Instructor
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or ARC-ALS - Amer Red Cross Advanced Life Support or ACLS-I - ACLS - Instructor or ACLS-P - ACLS-Provisional (180 Days) within 180 Days
