Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a MedSurg/Telemetry assignment in an inpatient admission/overflow unit. This is a 10-bed unit caring for general medical patients and surgical patients awaiting procedures.

The unit operates as a rapid admission area, so patient turnover may be faster than a typical MedSurg unit. The ideal candidate should be able to communicate clearly, prioritize effectively, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to MedSurg/Telemetry patients.
Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes.
Administer medications and treatments according to orders.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
Safely manage a patient assignment with an approximate 5:1 ratio.
Support efficient patient admissions and transitions within the unit.

Requirements:

Active RN license.
Minimum 2 years of recent MedSurg/Telemetry experience.
BLS certification required.
ACLS certification required.
Strong communication and independent clinical decision-making skills.
Previous travel nursing experience preferred.
