Schedule: Day Shift – 3x12-Hour (Start times vary: 06:30 - 09:30 / End times: 19:00 - 23:00, depending on need)

Job Description
Summary:
We are seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) for a 13-week assignment at an acute care facility in Apple Valley, CA. This position involves a high-acuity operating room setting, requiring advanced scrub experience across a range of surgical specialties. Travelers should be prepared for on-call duties, weekend work, and a flexible start schedule.

Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain sterile surgical fields and instruments.

Assist surgeons by passing instruments and anticipating needs during procedures.

Ensure operating room is sterile and properly equipped.

Support turnover between cases and collaborate with the surgical team.

Take call per rotation and assist with weekend coverage.

Float as needed to Outpatient Surgery Pavilion with 3 OR suites.

Qualifications
Education:
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program

Experience:
Minimum 2 years of recent inpatient OR experience

Must have hands-on scrubbing experience

License & Certifications:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred

BLS (AHA) required

Skills (Required):
General surgery

Orthopedics including spine and total joints

Urology

Endo/Laparoscopic

Vascular

GYN including C-sections, hysterectomies, D&C, and laparoscopic-assisted procedures

Skills (Preferred):
Ophthalmology

Plastics

Podiatry

ENT

Robotic-assisted GYN (Da Vinci Xi experience strongly preferred)

Sterile Processing (SPD)

Outpatient surgical experience

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred

BLS (AHA) required
