Equity Staffing Group is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aide (HHA) to join a leading hospice care team serving patients throughout the DeRidder and Lake Charles, Louisiana areas.

This position plays a vital role in providing personal care and support to hospice patients in their homes and care facilities, helping ensure comfort, dignity, and quality of life during their healthcare journey.

Schedule
Monday – Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Full-time, 40 hours per week

The Home Health Aide will provide direct personal care services to hospice patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse and interdisciplinary hospice team. This role requires daily travel to patient homes and facilities throughout the service area.

Key Responsibilities
Provide personal care assistance to hospice patients in home and facility settings
Assist patients with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, oral hygiene, and other activities of daily living
Observe and report changes in patient condition, behavior, or environment to the nursing team
Support patient comfort, dignity, and emotional well-being
Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and ambulation as appropriate
Maintain a safe and clean patient environment
Follow individualized care plans established by the hospice team
Document patient care activities accurately and timely
Communicate effectively with patients, families, caregivers, and clinical staff
Adhere to infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
Travel daily between multiple patient homes and care facilities within the assigned service area

Previous Home Health Aide (HHA) experience
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Ability to travel daily to patient homes and facilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with the hospice care team
Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with hospice or palliative care patients
Knowledge of home healthcare practices and patient care standards
Experience supporting elderly or medically fragile patients
