Cath Lab Tech (Days)

Position Summary

The Cath Lab Tech supports diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the cardiovascular lab under the general direction of a cardiologist or radiologist.

The role includes scrubbing procedures and monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data.

The technologist assists with invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures and helps prepare the procedure room, instruments and supplies.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with interventional and cardiac catheterization radiology procedures.

• Scrub procedures or monitor physiologic and hemodynamic data as directed.

• Prepare the procedure room for scheduled procedures.

• Monitor par levels of instruments and supplies.

• Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities.

• Assist with training new staff.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R certification and applicable state licensure.

• Current BCLS certification through the American Heart Association upon hire; maintain current certification.

• ACLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

• Minimum two years of recent Cath Lab experience.

• EPIC experience and proficient computer skills.

• Vascular Interventional Technologist certification and previous Interventional Radiology department experience preferred.

Shift Details

• Monday–Friday, 07:00–15:30 and/or 08:00–16:30.

• Eight-hour day shifts.

• Rotating call: two days per week and one weekend per month.

• Joliet, Illinois.

ARRT-R certification and applicable state licensure. Current AHA BCLS; ACLS within 30 days of hire. Minimum two years of recent Cath Lab experience. EPIC experience and proficient computer skills.
