REQUIREMENTS:

* Active Wisconsin RN license and Nurse Practitioner certification (with prescriptive authority).
* Current DEA registration and BLS certification.
* Knowledge of advanced nursing theory, pharmacology, diagnostics, and correctional healthcare.
* Ability to work independently, manage diverse cases, and respond effectively in emergencies.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Conduct physical exams, assess health status, and establish medical diagnoses.
* Prescribe and monitor medications; order and interpret diagnostic tests.
* Provide preventive, acute, and chronic illness management to persons in custody.
* Maintain accurate medical records in the electronic health system.
* Participate in quality improvement, staff training, and patient education programs.
* Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support the DOC’s Reentry and evidence-based care initiatives.
