Position Details:
Role: RN – Med/Surg
Location: St Johnsbury, VT
Shift: 07:00 AM – 07:00 PM (Day Shift)
Weekly Hours: 36 hours guaranteed
Contact Pay Package:
Pay Rate: $60/hr
Weekly Pay: $2,160/week (including stipend)
Weekly Stipend: $1,242
Overtime Rate: $70/hr (after 48 hours)
Permanent/Full Time Pay Package:
The facility is currently accepting permanent placement submissions.
Facility Salary: $70,000.00 to $104,000.00
Job Responsibilities:
The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care in the Medical-Surgical unit, caring primarily for adult patients with occasional pediatric cases. Responsibilities include coordinating and delivering patient care for medical, surgical, outpatient, observation, swing bed, and occasional pediatric patients.
The nurse will collaborate with physicians, clinical staff, and leadership to deliver high-quality patient care using the nursing process. Duties include patient assessment, care planning, medication administration, monitoring patient progress, and addressing patients’ physical, psychosocial, and developmental needs.
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years of acute care experience
Active Vermont RN License or Compact RN License
BLS (AHA) – Required
ACLS – Required prior to start
Experience with Meditech is preferred
Important Note:
This is not a pediatric floor, but pediatric patients may occasionally be admitted. Pediatric-only nurses will not be considered.
This position is with a 25-bed nonprofit critical access hospital providing primary care, specialty services, inpatient and outpatient care, and 24/7 emergency services.
Requirements:
