Global Process Owner – Record to Report (RTR)
Location: Brentwood, TN (Hybrid)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Compensation: $130,000 – $160,000 annually

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Global Process Owner (GPO) – Record to Report (RTR) to lead the design, governance, standardization, and continuous improvement of end-to-end RTR processes across the organization. This strategic leadership role will drive operational excellence, process consistency, compliance, and performance within a Shared Services / Global Business Services environment.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in financial close, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, consolidations, financial reporting, and process transformation initiatives. This individual will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Technology, and Shared Services leadership to optimize global processes and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the global owner of the Record-to-Report (RTR) process, ensuring standardized execution across all business units and regions.
Lead process governance, policy development, and controls to maintain compliance and operational effectiveness.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, automation, standardization, and service quality.
Oversee and optimize key RTR activities, including:
Financial close and period-end activities
General ledger management
Account reconciliations
Consolidations
Financial reporting
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), service-level agreements (SLAs), and operational metrics.
Partner with Shared Services, Global Business Services, Finance, Accounting, and Technology teams to implement best practices.
Identify process gaps, risks, and improvement opportunities while ensuring strong internal controls.
Support ERP optimization initiatives with a focus on Oracle platforms.
Lead change management efforts associated with process transformation and organizational initiatives.
Develop and maintain governance frameworks to support sustainable process ownership and accountability.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
12+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, Shared Services, or Global Business Services environments.
Deep expertise in Record-to-Report (RTR) processes, including financial close, general ledger, reconciliations, consolidations, and financial reporting.
Strong experience with Oracle ERP systems.
Proven experience working within Shared Services and/or Global Business Services organizations.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional process improvement and transformation initiatives.
Strong analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Previous experience as a Global Process Owner (GPO).
Lean, Six Sigma, PMP, Kaizen, or similar process improvement certification.
Experience designing and implementing governance frameworks.
Experience establishing KPI and performance management programs.
Healthcare industry experience.
Experience supporting large-scale ERP implementations or process transformation initiatives.

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in Finance, Accounting, Shared Services, or Global Business Services (GBS)
Strong expertise in end-to-end Record-to-Report (RTR) processes, including:
Financial Close
General Ledger (GL)
Account Reconciliations
Consolidations
Financial Reporting
Hands-on experience with Oracle ERP systems (required)
Proven experience working within a Shared Services and/or Global Business Services environment (required)
Demonstrated ability to drive process standardization, governance, and continuous improvement initiatives
Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills with experience collaborating across Finance, Accounting, Operations, and Technology teams
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project management skills
