About Impetus Health

Impetus Health is a licensed Georgia Private Home Care Provider and Georgia Pediatric Program (GAPP) provider serving medically complex pediatric patients in the home.

We are seeking an experienced, highly organized Registered Nurse to serve as our Clinical Nursing Supervisor and oversee the clinical delivery of our pediatric skilled nursing services.

Schedule & Compensation

$52–$58 per hour, based on experience

Approximately 10–20 hours per week initially

Hours expected to increase as patient census grows

Flexible/hybrid administrative schedule

In-person availability required for patient admissions, assessments, supervisory visits, competency validation and other clinical needs

Opportunity to grow into a larger/full-time clinical leadership role as the agency expands

Responsibilities

The Clinical Nursing Supervisor will:

Provide clinical oversight of pediatric skilled nursing services

Review new referrals for clinical appropriateness and determine whether the agency can safely meet each child’s needs

Conduct and/or oversee initial nursing assessments and reassessments

Develop, review and update individualized plans of care

Provide RN case management and clinical coordination for GAPP patients

Review physician orders and communicate with physicians and other members of the care team

Match RNs and LPNs to patients based on acuity, experience and demonstrated competency

Supervise field RNs and LPNs

Complete required supervisory visits

Review nursing documentation for accuracy, completeness and quality

Ensure nursing care is provided according to physician orders and the current plan of care

Participate in interviewing and selecting nursing staff

Conduct clinical orientation, skills validation and patient-specific competency assessments

Ensure nurses are competent to perform the specialized skills required for their assigned patients

Provide clinical support to nurses regarding changes in condition and other clinical concerns

Participate in the agency’s after-hours clinical escalation/on-call rotation

Provide and/or oversee caregiver education as required

Review clinical incidents and ensure appropriate clinical follow-up

Participate in clinical chart audits and quality-improvement activities

Help maintain clinical readiness for Georgia DCH/GAPP reviews and audits

Work closely with agency leadership as the patient census and clinical team grow

Qualifications

Current, unrestricted Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license

Current CPR/BLS certification

Pediatric nursing experience required

Experience caring for medically complex pediatric patients strongly preferred

Experience with tracheostomy care, ventilators, G-tubes/enteral feedings, oxygen therapy, seizure management and other high-acuity pediatric needs strongly preferred

Pediatric private-duty nursing, pediatric home health, GAPP, PICU or similar experience preferred

Previous nursing supervision, case management, charge nurse, preceptor or other clinical leadership experience preferred

Strong clinical assessment skills and nursing judgment

Ability to supervise, coach and evaluate RNs and LPNs

Strong organizational, documentation and communication skills

Ability to work independently and take ownership of clinical responsibilities

Ability to travel to patient homes within the agency’s service area as required

Previous GAPP experience is highly desirable but not required for an exceptional pediatric RN with strong medically complex pediatric experience and demonstrated clinical leadership ability.
