Adelphi is seeking Interpreters to serve as an educational assistant and interpret from ASL to English and English to ASL for students within schools in South Carolina. The ideal candidates will be experts in helping students learn subject matter and skills that will contribute to their development into responsible adults.

Requirements:
• Bachelor's Degree in Education, deaf education or any related field
• Current South Carolina Interpreter and Transliterator License
• Minimum 1 year experience providing sign language interpreting services

Responsibilities:
• Collaborating with the management and parents in eligibility staffing and Individual Education Plan (IEP) sessions
• Interpret from ASL to English and English to ASL for students in classroom settings
• Serve as an educational assistant and dedicate aide in the special education department as well as in a general education classroom
• Upholding the confidentiality of student records and respecting the privacy of both student and department records
• Generating evaluation reports and crafting Individual Education Plans
• Developing lesson plans and providing instruction in alignment with Individual Education Plans
• Completing encounter logs for all services provided to students within 24 hours of service
• Other duties as assigned
