• Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience. Candidate will be required to pass a telemetry competency exam, to include identifying and measuring rhythm strips. Failure of exam will result in contract termination.
Unit Description:
Patient population includes treatment of CHF, Alcohol Withdrawal, NSTEMI's sepsis, dysrhythmias, PNA, COPD, Covid, care of the post-procedure patients include pacemakers, ablations, cath lab, and OHS patients once downgraded from ICU. Medications include non-titratable cardiac medication drips (Cardizem, Lasix, Nitro, etc). May float to Intensive Care Units for a telemetry/medically appropriate assignment, medical surgical units, as well as Renown Regional. Our goal is the provision of clinical excellence and exceptional customer service in a collaborative, multidisciplinary, patient-centered environment.
Additional Comments:
Travelers may be required to float to the needs of the organization up to their competency level. May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during schedule period. Renown has the right to call off, without penalty, 48 hours, for low census per 13-week contract. This may be full or partial shifts. Schedule varies based upon department needs. Schedule can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts.
Hospital Information:
Extremely busy and fast paced environment serving a 500-mile radius. Level II Trauma Center, Stroke accreditation, 800 in-patient bed hospital. The volume and pace required to work here are that of a Level I trauma center.

Position Purpose
This position provides optimal patient care utilizing knowledge and skills within the context of the nursing process. The incumbent is accountable for individualized patient outcomes over an entire episode of care. The incumbent provides comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, including their families/caregivers.
Nature and Scope
This position is challenged to diagnose and treat human responses to health problems. The incumbent must provide optimal patient/resident care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of adolescent, adult, and geriatric residents and families. Demonstrates the cognitive and psychosocial needs specific to the population to be served and meets standards of quality as measured by the unit/department age specific competency standards. This position requires a scientific knowledge base and ongoing growth and learning. When possible the family or those significant to the family are considered as part of the assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation efforts of the Registered Nurse (RN). The RN coordinates care between other professionals as needed. Intensive continuous mental effort is required to provide optimal safe patient care and the same mental effort is required when interacting with internal and external contacts, exercising judgments and making decisions. This position does provide patient care.
