Registered Nurse – Intermediate Care Unit

Seeking experienced Intermediate Care / Progressive Care RNs for 13-week night-shift travel contracts. This IMCU unit cares for high-acuity patients requiring close monitoring and advanced equipment. Travelers with strong PCU/IMCU backgrounds and prior travel experience are highly encouraged to apply.

Job Responsibilities
Provide nursing care to IMCU-level patients, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, and complex medical conditions.
Monitor patients with conditions such as COPD, DKA, MI, Sepsis, CV step-down, and post-operative needs.
Manage patients requiring specialty equipment, such as:
Temporary pacemakers
Chest tubes
Arterial lines
Bipap
Neptune Vapo
Chronic ventilators (RT will assist)
Document care and assessments in Epic EMR.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Minimum 2+ years of recent IMCU/PCU experience

Travel nursing experience required

Certifications:

BLS (AHA)

ACLS

NIHSS

Licensure:

Active NY RN license (required at submission)
