Responsibilities

Review and implement ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding updates from CMS
Analyze coding changes and prepare documentation for review
Collaborate with stakeholders, IT teams, and process owners
Serve as a subject matter expert for coding methodologies and Medicaid policy
Maintain business rules, process documentation, and training materials
Support medical necessity reviews and other project-related duties

Requirements:
BSN or ADN required
Active, unrestricted South Carolina RN license
CPC or CCS certification required
ICD-10 proficiency certification or ability to obtain within one year
5+ years of medical coding experience in a payer environment
5+ years of healthcare insurance, appeals, or program integrity experience
Strong knowledge of ICD, CPT, and HCPCS coding methodologies
Excellent communication and Microsoft Office skills
Preferred
Experience with claims processing systems
Policy remediation experience
Experience using Optum Encoder or similar coding software
