JOB REQUIREMENTS

* Board: Board Certified Nurse Practitioner (AANP or ANCC)

* Licenses: Active Tennessee RN License, Active Tennessee NP License, Tennessee DEA with TN address

* DEA / CDS: Active DEA with TN address required

* Certifications: ACLS Certification

* Experience: Preferred 2 years recent Hospitalist experience; new graduates considered

* Other Qualifications: Graduate of accredited NP program; documentation of MMR/Varicella immunity; Two-Step TB test; case logs for previous 2 years

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

* Provide nocturnist hospital medicine coverage, including patient admissions and cross-coverage.

* Perform comprehensive histories and physicals, and manage discharge planning.

* Collaborate with attending physicians, nursing staff, and multidisciplinary team.

* Respond to medical emergencies and code situations as needed.

* Document all patient encounters accurately in Epic EMR.
