OR Registered Nurse

* Responsible for directing patient care in the operating room.
* Must be comfortable with Circulating the following cases: Ortho, Ortho Trauma, Vascular, Urology, General Surgery.
Preferred Experience: Neurosurgery (crani and spine), Open Heart/Thoracic, Ophthalmology, ENT, Bariatric and Gynecology.
* Knowledge of sterile technique.
* Maintaining a count of sponges, needles, and other instruments used in the OR.
* Must have strong scrub and circulate skills.
* Preparing the operating room, positioning the patient, ensuring all supplies and equipment necessary are sterile and available for the procedure.
* Observing any changes in the patient’s condition and communicating with anesthesia and surgeon with observed changes.
* Ensuring medications are administered and charted.
* Caring for specimens.

To be considered for these positions, we require the following qualifications:

* Valid and active RN license in Illinois.
* At least 2 years of recent OR experience.
* Strong clinical skills and the ability to work autonomously.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to adapt to a dynamic and challenging work environment.
